Wildlife returns to restored River Avon
Eight months after the Trust and partners completed restoration work on a stretch of the Salisbury Avon near Pewsey, wildlife is flooding back into the area and the water is teeming with young fish.
We’re going on a dragon hunt
Hunting for dragonflies will be one of the many interesting activities laid on for children at the Trust’s free family event at Conigre Mead Nature Reserve, Melksham, on Sunday 25th July, 2-4pm. “There will be lots to do for children of all ages at this pretty reserve,” says Sarah Wood, the Trust’s Education Officer.

Creative kids, creepy crawlies and community woodland – that is the theme of an art day being run by the Trust on Wednesday 7th July for children from South Marston Primary School, near Swindon.
Bumper year for lambs helps Trust in quest to restore chalk grasslands
A walk among the wild flowers at Coombe Bissett Down nature reserve, near Salisbury, will be rewarded with the added interest of seeing rare breed lambs gambolling on the slopes, for the Trust has had a bumper lambing season.
Wind and rain make Sarsen Trail a challenge but walkers still turn out with a smile
Persistent early morning rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of walkers and runners taking part in the Sarsen Trail and Neolithic Marathon on Sunday May 2nd between the two World Heritage Sites of Avebury and Stonehenge.
