Compost ambassadors
Our Compost Ambassadors are keen to help householders in Wiltshire compost rather than bin their biodegradable rubbish.
Compost Ambassadors are based all over Wiltshire and have volunteered their time to spread the compost message and pass on practical advice to others.
To become a Compost Ambassador, volunteers attend a one-day training course to learn how to find solutions to common composting problems. This gives Ambassadors the knowledge and confidence to promote home composting in their local communities.
“It’s nice for people to be able to ring up one ambassador like me rather than to have to sit and trawl through the internet or books for advice. I can quickly answer a query over the phone, or I can pop round to the compost heap in question and offer advice and handy hints,” says ambassador, Priscilla Daniell.
