Corporate green awards 2010
The Corporate Green Awards will be on the 8th Ocotber 2010 at the Cotswold Water Park Four Pillars Hotel.
We are delighted to welcome back the Hills Group as the main sponsors again.
Nominations are now invited for the Trust’s 2010 Corporate Green Awards. The scheme, rewards businesses in Wiltshire and Swindon that are making serious efforts to minimise their impact on the environment.
Company’s can enter any number of categories and provide any number of projects within each category.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 10th September 2010
The award categories for 2010 are;
- Award for Sustainable Impact on the Land for manufacturing companies, builders, architects, property developers, housing associations, restoration companies, road and infrastructure providers, farmers, food producers, Local Authorities, environmental consultants, forestry companies, landscape gardeners and company grounds.
- Award for Sustainable Progress for companies who have previously won or been highly recommended and have continued to implement green initiatives.
- Award for Green Office for those implementing the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust Green Office Plan or any company who uses offices for their business.
- Award for Green Tourism for tourist attractions, hotels, B&B and self-catering accommodation, holiday companies, holiday promoters, travel agents, tourist information centres and transport companies.
- Award for Green Travel for the companies with their own business travel needs and those that operate company vehicles as part of their business. Particular focus should be paid to outlining the measures your company has taken to reduce your overall business travel carbon footprint, particularly actions taken to improve the environmental efficiency of any vehicles used on company business; covering vehicle selection and use, driver education and fuel ongoing management.
- Award for Climate Change Impact for companies making the greatest reduction in their or their customers’ carbon-footprint. For all companies involved in reducing energy, waste, transport impact, alternative energy, local food and food miles.
- Green Shoots Award for the organisation who is the most impressive newcomer to implementing environmental actions. (Open to all)
- Outstanding Contribution Award for the person or organisation who has made the greatest positive impact on the environment in WIltshire and Swindon over a sustained period. (Open to all)
