A performance of the climate change play ‘The Ark in the Garage’ at The Manor Primary School will kick off the Trust's Greener Living Roadshow in Melksham, on Thursday 11th March, 2.45pm.

The 20-minute play is a humorous take on the biblical story of Noah’s Ark and will be performed by children from the school’s eco-group.

The play will be followed by a 10-minute recital by local award-winning singer-song writer Talis Kimberley.

“It’s inspiring to know that young children feel so strongly about climate change and are passionate about the need to look after our planet,“ says Emma Harrington, the Roadshow organiser.

“It sets a good example for the rest of us and makes the school the perfect setting for the Roadshow.”

The Roadshow will be packed with information for people who want to find out how they can live in a more environmentally sensitive way.

There will be:

• Free information and advice on how to live a greener lifestyle
• Make-and-take activities for all ages
• Free Fairtrade refreshments during the event
• Giveaways/freebies
• Energy Saving Trust advisor on-hand to provide advice and information on how you   can save money as well as being kinder to the environment
• Wiltshire Scrapstore selling great products made from re-used materials at bargain prices
• Terry Cooke of Hedgerow Honey Farm will be bringing his delicious local honey
• Melksham Community Area Partnership
